DIGITAL USE OF THE EXPERIMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Experimenting - interesting and exciting.

Direct input of answers

The students answer directly in the digital worksheet. This can be done using the integrated keyboard on the tablets/smartphones or a standard keyboard on a laptop/PC.

In the picture, the student is answering the question what causes the deviation of his own measured values compared to the cosine adjustment.

Manual entry of measured values - automatic generation of diagrams

The measured values read can be entered in the table. The respective field is selected by touch or mouse click and the value is entered via the keyboard. In our example the student is just entering the sixth measured value for the illuminance.

Diagrams integrated in Lab Doc are automatically completed with these values.

Real time measured values from the Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi - Full interactivity

If the end devices, e.g. a student tablet, are connected to the Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi, the Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi first takes over all settings for the experiment. Up to four mobile devices can connect to the Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi at the same time. During the measurement, the real-time measured values from the Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi are automatically transferred to the measuring instruments, tables and diagrams in the Lab Doc. And this in up to four Lab Docs of the students of a working group.

In our example, the currently measured distance s = 0.285 m is shown in both the Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi display and the Lab Doc.

Interactivity between measuring technology and Lab Doc

Up to four devices (tablet/smartphone/laptop) can be connected to one Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi
(= 1 student groupt)

Smart diagrams - selection of adjustments by touch

While the measured values are transmitted either manually or from the Mobile-CASSY 2 WiFi, the diagrams are updated automatically. On top of that they are "smart" and can be adjusted. This is done either by changing parameters or by selecting additional features via touch or mouse click.

In this experiment, it is possible to choose between a hyperbolic adjustment or exponential function.

Saving and sharing the protocol

The final protocol can be saved and shared. The saved data can be reloaded at any time. This means that further editing can also be done at home.

The school decides where the sensitive student data should be stored and whether to work with an registration. This means we offer an open system and the school can decide whether to work with the school's own server or e-mail or an LCMS.
