DIGITAL SHARING OF EXPERIMENT INSTRUCTIONS
with all student tablets and smartphones
Sharing the digital experiment instructions has never been easier. Whether at school, college or university or at home. Many ways are possible, according to your wishes and how your school, college or university is equipped.
Via LeyLab you can easily share Lab Docs with your students using a QR code or link. Of course, sharing via QR code in the local network in the classroom is also possible if no Internet access is available (e.g. from the Document Center).
To do this, call up the student experiment in LeyLab and go to the tab Documents. If the respective literature package is integrated, the Lab Docs are displayed as student and teacher version:
Now you can press the button "Share" under actions.
Our latest innovation:
Sharing via QR code or link
You generate a link which is valid for a limited time and which allows students to access Lab Doc directly without registration. You specify how long access should be possible and with which class you share the Lab Doc so that you always have an overview. A link and a QR code will be generated.
Either print out the QR code for each student or display it on the beamer via the zoom button for all students to see.
Students scan the QR code with their tablets or smartphones and the Lab Doc is displayed in the browser of the device.
Alternatively, you can send the link to the students via email or messenger or copy the link to an assignment in a learning platform of your choice.
In this way, each student has his or her own Lab Doc on his or her device and can work on it individually.
Sharing as assingment via Microsoft Teams for Education
If your school, college or university work with Microsoft Teams for Education, you can easily link the Lab Doc there to an assignment. Your students can open the Lab Doc directly from Microsoft Teams and add the results to the assignment and share them with you for analysing when completed.
The grading of the assignments is also done by Microsoft teams. In LeyLab you can see an overview of the progress of all students at any time and you can make corrections directly in Lab Doc.
This can be done from home or at school, college or university, depending on how you organise your lesson (class).
Another benefit is that the interactivity of the Lab Doc is completely maintained with every step!
Lab Docs can also be used with other learning platforms
We would like to describe the simplified way how you can also work with Lab Docs in other learning platforms:
1.) You share a Lab Doc in Leylab.
2.) You manually copy the link into an assignment in the used learning platform. For Microsoft Teams LeyLab will do this part automatically.
3.) Your students store the Lab Doc as a PDF file and upload the PDF file as a result to the assignment in the used learning platform.
4.) You correct in the PDF fiel and upload the corrected version again.
This works for all other (non-interactive) worksheets and in other subjects. The decisive function at this point in Lab Doc is "Save as PDF".
