A measuring device for intensive experiments |
The Sensor-CASSY 2 measuring instrument is ideal for the acquisition of measurement data in complex demonstration experiments. The instrument can be connected to a PC via an USB port or WiFi adapter (see WiFi adapter). Beyond its two sensor inputs, one impressive feature of Sensor-CASSY 2 is its built-in capability for measuring voltage and current.
No additional sensors are required, for example, to carry out experiments on Ohm's law and electrical oscillations or to record characteristic curves. Simultaneous measurement pf voltage and current as well as the parallel acquisition of measured values via two additional sensors characterise the range of applications of the Sensor-CASSY 2.
Depending on the setup of the experiment, the Sensor-CASSY 2 can be arranged as a table-top unit or a console module. For specific experiments, in particular in chemistry and technology, it can be used in a panel frame for the purpose of demonstration.

In interaction with the tried-and-tested CASSY Lab 2 software, the Sensor-CASSY 2 sets new standards in measurement technology at schools and universities. This was also recognised by the international jury of the Worlddidac association, who have awarded the Sensor-CASSY 2 and CASSY Lab 2 with the coveted Worlddidac Award.
CASSY Lab 2 operates the Sensor-CASSY 2. The popular measurement software provides the measurement data in real-time and offers futher functions for detailed evaluation.

Cascadable interface for complex experiments |
To meet the highest measurement requirements, up to eight units can be connected in series. This applies to additional Sensor-CASSY 2 as well as to existing Sensor-CASSY of the previous generation and the Power-CASSY.
Compatible with all CASSY sensors and sensor boxes |
The Sensor-CASSY 2 is compatible with all CASSY sensor boxes and sensors S. The CASSY Lab 2 software automatically detects the sensors and configures them. The Plug & Play function eliminates the need for time-consuming configuration.
Versatile measuring connections for every need |
The Sensor-CASSY impresses with two galvanically isolated voltage inputs, an alternative current input and two sensor sockets.
All inputs have switchable measuring ranges. Twelve digital inputs as well as one analog and six digital outputs are provided. The four timer inputs, with the 32-bit counters on the sensor slots, also support sensors such as the GM-Box, Timer Box or Timer S. The five LEDs clearly indicate the status.
The relay and the controllable voltage source enable, for example, the direct connection of a holding magnet.
Experimenting even without computer |
If you prefer to measure without a computer, the measured values can be visualised on the CASSY-Display.
The CASSY display has also been developed to allow variable positioning. This way, the two-channel large display is optimally visible for everyone.
The CASSY display shows the current measured values of the connected Sensor-CASSY, which means that additional demonstration measuring devices such as voltmeters, ammeters or newtonmeters are no longer necessary for simple measuring tasks. The channels are individually switchable and calibratable. A measured value storage enables the measured values to be read out and evaluated later in CASSY Lab 2.
